Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
This is your option. You may give us a key to be safely stored – always with “double-blind” security. Only the local owner and/or office manager can access the client key safe. Maids are given the keys for each cleaning appointment before they leave the office each day, and must turn these back in to management before they are allowed to leave the office each evening. These keys are returned to the key safe until the next cleaning appointment.
Do I need to provide you with my house key?

Are you bonded and insured?
While every effort is made to use great care in your home, sometimes accidents do happen. Our housekeepers are trained to immediately notify our office (and you) if something is broken or damaged so that we can handle the situation as soon as possible. If we should break or damage something, we will make every effort to have the item repaired or if necessary it will be replaced. We limit our loss to the replacement value, repair cost, or $500, whichever is less.
What do I do about the security alarm system?
If you have a security system, please make necessary arrangements to give your Life Maid Clean team access to your home on your scheduled day. Some clients establish a guest or temporary code for Life Maid Clean.
Most of our customers are not at home when we come to clean. We will make personal and confidential arrangements with you on how to gain access to the house. If we are unable to gain access to your house for a regularly scheduled cleaning, we must charge you a fee of $20 to compensate the housekeeper for their loss of time and driving expenses.
What if there is a problem?
We take pride in 100% guaranteed customer satisfaction. Contact us within 24 hours and we will come back and correct the problem to your satisfaction at no cost to you.
How many people will be cleaning my house/office?
Most of the time the teams consist of 1-2 people.
Do the maids speak english?
We do not discriminate and on a occasion our team members are not fluent in english. We ask that you communicate requests through our office at 773.470.6706 or info@lifemaidclean.com and we will ensure that all of us are on the same page.
Do you train and supervise your team/crew?
Our teams are regularly trained and supervised.
Is there a cancellation policy?
Yes, the cancellation policy is 48 hours prior to the scheduled start of the cleaning.
When are the payments due?
Payment is due at time of service. You may pay by cash, check or credit card. If you do not intend to be at home at time of service you may choose to either leave cash or a check on the kitchen counter the morning of your house cleaning. If you prefer to pay by credit card, you may do so securely online using PayPal prior to the scheduled cleaning. A fee will be assessed for all returned checks
Is it really necessary for me to give you a credit card information when making a reservation?
Yes, because of the cancellation policy.
What types of payment do you accept?
On the day of the cleaning cash, and checks will be accepted. You may also prepay using PayPal (see below).
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we do. The credit card payments may be submitted securely using PayPal.
What are your rates?
Every house is unique, and every cleaning fee is based on different factors. Things that will affect the amount of your house cleaning estimate include the size of your home, number of residents, number of pets, number of bathrooms, how often you want us to clean, etc. We have a standardized formula for calculating each individual cleaning estimate in a uniform way.
Why do the first few cleanings cost more?
It usually takes us longer to clean the house the first time because there are areas of the home that we will be cleaning that haven't been cleaned in quite a while. We only charge extra if extra time will be required.
Do I need to provide cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment?
That’s up to you. We provide basic cleaning supplies and equipment.
What happens if I forget to leave out the clean sheets and towels?
The sheets and towels will not be changed. Please note that the fee for cleaning will not be adjusted.
Do you use green products?
Yes, we do. Green products are available upon request for a small fee.
Is there something Life Maid Clean staff does not do?
We do not clean after pets (litter boxes, bird cages, etc..). If you have special requirements please contact us at 773.814.3104
Do you arrive on time?
Life Maid Clean ordinarily guarantees a specific day for your house cleaning but not a specific time. Due to our flexible and ever-changing schedule, we are unable to commit to a specific time of day for our arrival. However, if you contact us on the day of your service, we will be glad to estimate our time of arrival. If you need a specific time guarantee, feel free to discuss this with your local office. Within reason, we will do our best to reach a mutually agreeable solution.
What are your hours?
We may be reached at 773.470.6706 between 7am - 9pm.
How far in advance do I need to make a reservation?
Please make a reservation as soon as possible.
Do you provide same day service?
Please contact us at 773.470.6706 to check if the same day service is available at that time.
What if my cleaning falls on a holiday?
We’ll contact you and make arrangements to reschedule.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for the cleaning?
We work more efficiently if the areas to be cleaned are “clutter” free.
I locked the Maid out and she left, am I going to be penalized ?
Just as with Rescheduling fees, if you lock the maid services team out on cleaning day, you will likely be assessed a lock-out fee. Please be sure you understand your local Life Maid Clean’s lock-out fees. We want to help you avoid incurring these additional fees!
Most of our clients either provide us a key or hide one on the premises on cleaning day.
What about my pets?
Please advise us if you have pets and provide any information regarding your pets that would be helpful for us to know. Though not a requirement, we prefer pets to be restricted from the areas we clean, to allow us to clean your home better and more efficiently. Some of our clients make temporary arrangements of their pets (such as the kennel, or a closed of room). We love animals, but sometimes this is not mutual.
Does the same person/team clean my house every time?
We try to ensure the same person/team cleans your house. All of the housekeepers provide the same consistent service to every customer, so you should feel like you are receiving the same quality service no matter who the housekeeper is. However, if you would like to make a change, please do not hesitate to ask.
Do you do background checks for your staff?
Yes we do, in fact we will not even consider the recruitment of a new house cleaner unless they have a minimum of 4 verifiable references and a stable previous work history. House cleaners must be bondable, which means no felony convictions. We also do random drug testing.
